Guyana Youth Outreach Mission
A journey of service. A brotherhood for life. Muslim youth from Central Florida serving children, families, and elders in Georgetown, Guyana — through three community outreach missions and one lasting commitment.
8–10 Muslim youth · 3 community outreach missions · one lasting commitment
More than a mission trip
Ummah Inc. is launching a youth humanitarian outreach initiative connecting Muslim youth from Central Florida with children, families, and elderly residents in Guyana.
Our goal is not simply to visit, distribute donations, and return home. We want to build genuine friendships, inspire compassion, strengthen Islamic character, and establish lasting relationships through ongoing service.
Our first mission is planned for January 2027, with the intention of returning regularly and continuing our charitable support throughout the year.
Three communities. One mission.
1. Children’s orphanage — building lifelong friendships
Our youth will visit Shaheed’s Boys and Girls Orphanages in the Georgetown area. Over several days, participants will spend meaningful time with children through:
- Sports, games, and recreational activities
- Shared meals and conversations
- Educational and character-building activities
- Clothing, shoes, school supplies, and essential gifts
- Supervised friendships and ongoing communication
Our vision is to develop long-term connections, with participating youth building friendships with two or three children and maintaining appropriate, supervised relationships between visits.
Our initial goal is to raise $5,000 in direct support for the orphanage children.
2. Neighborhood outreach — supporting families in need
Our team will also visit an underserved neighborhood, working with trusted local community representatives to identify families who would benefit from assistance. Activities may include:
- Distribution of food and essential household supplies
- Clothing and school-supply assistance
- Community meals and youth activities
- Family visits and meaningful conversations
- Community outreach and Islamic dawah where welcomed
We want our youth to understand that charity begins with recognizing the dignity and needs of others.
3. Elderly home — honoring our elders
Our third outreach mission will bring our youth to a local elderly care home. We plan to spend time visiting residents, listening to their stories, offering companionship, sharing refreshments, and delivering useful personal-care items based on the home’s needs.
Service is not only about financial assistance. Sometimes the most valuable gift is our time, attention, and kindness.
A continuing commitment
This mission is designed to become an ongoing Ummah Inc. outreach program. Our long-term vision includes repeat visits every six months where feasible, continuing fundraising, supervised communication, and meaningful support between trips.
We hope the friendships formed during this experience will last for years, in shā’ Allāh.
Sponsor a youth ambassador
We are seeking sponsors to help send 8–10 dedicated Muslim youth from Central Florida to Guyana. Each youth has a $1,000 travel sponsorship goal:
- 10 sponsors per youth
- $100 per sponsor
- $1,000 total sponsorship per youth
- $8,000–$10,000 overall youth sponsorship goal
Travel sponsorships help fund each youth’s participation. Donations for direct charitable assistance to children, families, and elderly residents are tracked separately.
Your sponsorship is more than a contribution toward a trip. It is an investment in a young Muslim’s character, leadership, compassion, and commitment to serving others.
Local partner arrangements, specific outreach sites, and the final mission itinerary are subject to confirmation.
